PATIENTS and METHODS

*We start to use pain map after 2007, facet joint injection alone or combined with sural block or only sural block was used firstly.

.**Patient informed before, if any related level pain continue after this prosedure, operation advised in early time (include 20 days).

***Pain map show us to find the exact pathological level easily for operation. ‘ After the injection theraphy if the pain is not resolve, the level could be chosen easily ‘
İf the pain continue the related level, it means there should be movement at the facet inferior edge ?

Disc resorption

** Several authors have observed a greater degree of neovascularization for extrusions than for subligamentous herniations, in concordance with the higher resorption rate of exstrusion type herniations.
** As rim enhancement is though to represent neovascularized zone with macrophage infiltration, corticosteroids, as potent anti inflammatory substances, might interfere with the spontaneous resorption of the HNP.
